| Hi, Just found this site, unreal what parents has to endure after losing a child!! It is like I heard a few days ago----- For yrs our world had no color everything was black and white but with time we do eventually start to see color again as we take comfort in that we had the chance to know you and love you. Although we will never stop grieving for you!! I now know that it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all!! We will forever remember that awful day!! Loving u all the way across the universe!!
Hugs xoxoxo for your Mom!!

| Our family, especially Reuben and I, want to thank all of you who have been here for us for the past 5 years, since Johanna's passing from this life. It's so nice to check in and read the messages, old and new.It means a lot to us. This year, while we remember the almost 19 years we had her with us here,we are also celebrating the 5th annual Johanna's memorial Ride the Boot.(Supported by The Heritage Riders Motorcycle Association) Over those 5 years we have donated to charity(Daffodil Place and the Candlelighters Association) in her name $25,000.00, built a washroom in the childrens park that we built in her memory,Johanna's Day Spa for Kids. This year again we are supporting the kids cancer camp,Camp Delight. While the pain of the absence of her physical presence is forever present, we have learned to live with it as a part of our lives and I personally have started a spiritual journey with her that I would never have othewise embarked upon.God Bless all of you. |

| Barb,
I had a chance to visit Johanna's day spa last summer after we spoke, it's such a beautiful tribute to your daughter especially being so close to her home. Thinking of you lots.

| Reuben, Barb and Family: Great website to keep the memory of Johanna near to everyone. Although I did not know her, I learned some from Reuben on a flight to Halifax. Two complete strangers sitting next to each other, we shortly became friends, as Newfoundlanders often do. I am so happy to have seen this site and read all about Johanna and how you are keeping her here in spirit. Hats off to you, Reuben and your wife Barb. You are an inspiration and I was touched to see the work you've done to keep her close.
I hope you are getting the bike out for the season soon. Might catch you someday in Ottawa! All the best. -Danielle |

| I'm sorry but I don't have an email address at home so I couldn't leave one. I just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you (Barb, Reuben and Michael) and my heart breaks each time either of you crosses my mind because I cannot imagine the three of you without Johanna. I just get an overwhelming sense of sadness which obviously cannot compare to yours - not even the tiniest fraction of what you feel each and every day - I know you are strong people but I worry about you because it is unbearable. If any of you ever come to Montreal for any reason (maybe Michael would like to see a concert) you would be so welcome to stay with us. Love, Pam |
